These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Go Authenticator mobile application and any related services, including backup functionality and the Safari extension (collectively, the “App”). The App is owned and operated by Duy Cao (“we”, “us”, or “our”), based in Vietnam.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple EULA”) as incorporated into the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1.1 If you obtained the App via the Apple App Store, your use of the App is subject to the Apple EULA, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
1.2 In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA will prevail to the extent of such conflict with respect to your use of the App as a licensed application under Apple’s terms.
1.3 You acknowledge that:
1.4 You acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third‑party beneficiaries of these Terms and shall have the right (and shall be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third‑party beneficiary.
2.1 You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of your country of residence to use the App.
2.2 You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms, the Apple EULA, and all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection and security laws.

3.1 Subject to your compliance with these Terms and the Apple EULA, we grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, non‑sublicensable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple‑branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple EULA.
3.2 You may not, and you agree not to:
4.1 The App may provide backup or export capabilities intended to help you preserve your 2FA configuration data (such as secrets, keys, and account labels) (“Backup Data”).
4.2 You are solely responsible for:
4.3 We do not guarantee that backup or restore operations will always succeed or that Backup Data will never be lost, corrupted, or inaccessible. You understand and agree that loss of Backup Data may result in loss of access to your third‑party accounts, and you assume all associated risks.
4.4 We are not responsible for any inability to restore access to your third‑party accounts, even if the backup functionality fails, malfunctions, or behaves unexpectedly, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
5.1 The App may include a Safari extension that interacts with your browser to facilitate 2FA code entry or account management.
5.2 By enabling and using the Safari extension, you authorize it to access certain browser content and data as required to perform its functions, as described in the App’s interface and documentation.
5.3 You are responsible for reviewing and configuring the Safari extension’s permissions and settings according to your security and privacy needs.
5.4 We do not control and are not responsible for the content of third‑party websites or services that you access through Safari or any other browser.
6.1 The App may process information such as 2FA secrets, account identifiers, and usage data in order to provide its core functionality. We do not claim ownership of your 2FA secrets or your account data.
6.2 Details on how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data (if any) are described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In case of any inconsistency between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding personal data, the Privacy Policy will prevail.
6.3 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your device, passcodes, and any backup passwords or encryption keys. If you lose control of your device or backups, your 2FA secrets and codes may be compromised.
6.4 You acknowledge that no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information processed through the App.
7.1 The App is designed to generate TOTP codes that may be used with third‑party websites, applications, and services (collectively, “Third‑Party Services”). We do not operate or control any Third‑Party Services.
7.2 Your use of Third‑Party Services is governed solely by the terms, conditions, and policies of those third parties, and it is your responsibility to review and comply with them.
7.3 We make no representations or warranties about, and are not responsible or liable for, any Third‑Party Services, including their security, availability, or compliance with applicable law.
8.1 We may, from time to time, provide updates, enhancements, or modifications to the App (including bug fixes, patches, and new features). Such updates may be installed automatically or may require your initiation, depending on your device settings.
8.2 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you, except as required by applicable law.
8.3 These Terms may be updated from time to time. When we do so, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
9.1 All intellectual property rights in and to the App (excluding any third‑party materials and your own data) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
9.2 You may not remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices (including copyright and trademark notices) that appear in or on the App.
9.3 Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights in the App or our trademarks to you. You are granted only the limited license described in Section 3.
10.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
10.2 Without limiting the foregoing, we expressly disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement, as well as any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.
10.3 We do not warrant that:
10.4 You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have alternative means to access your accounts (such as backup codes or secondary authenticators) and for verifying that your 2FA setup works as intended.
11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any:
arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11.2 Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms shall, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you actually paid for the App, if any; or (b) the minimum amount required by mandatory law.
11.3 Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or liabilities. In such cases, the above exclusions and limitations will apply to you only to the extent permitted by the laws of your jurisdiction.
12.1 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, and our respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
13.1 These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or us.
13.2 You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting the App and all related data and backups from your devices and storage.
13.3 We may suspend or terminate your rights to use the App at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, the Apple EULA, or applicable law, or if we decide to discontinue the App.
13.4 Upon termination, the license granted to you under these Terms will cease, and you must stop all use of the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to Sections 6–12) shall survive.
14.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, and subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence that provide you with more favorable rights.
14.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vietnam, unless applicable law provides you with the right to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction.
